My five children attended Nant-y-Cwm, my eldest started the day the school opened. I absorbed the magical ethos of the early pioneering days. I set up the catering fundraising arm of the school which for several years provided half the school’s income.
I am now chair of Pembrokeshire’s resilience network, which is working with the County Council to develop land for community food and wellbeing. I am trustee of other organisations, and founded the successful community sponsorship charity, Croeso Teifi, that has settled refugee families into the local town. I hope to develop the woodland for Nant-y-Cwm so that it is a source of environmental, educational and community wellbeing.
