Premises Coordinator

With an original training in music, I’ve had a varied career covering areas such as teaching, sound engineering, live music, computing and websites, gardening and small-scale construction.
My family and I recently moved from Wiltshire to find a smallholding in this beautiful area of Wales. We love exploring the diverse landscape and scenery that Pembrokeshire has to offer.
Our son went through mainstream primary in Wiltshire up to Year 6. Having long been supporters of the Steiner / Waldorf ethos, we wanted a chance to experience a more intuitive style of education and were immediately enchanted by Nant-y-Cwm. We love the buildings, the grounds, the setting and this sparked my interest in taking on this role.
I’m really looking forward to working with parents on our “work days”. These are really enjoyable opportunities to look after the school and finish important, small projects. I’d like to encourage any parents to get involved in these and look forward to meeting you all.
Keen gardeners, for many years we have produced our own food and have always aimed to achieve partial self-sufficiency. We are also getting to know the local community of smallholders and permaculture practitioners.
I have relatively recently taken up beekeeping – a fascinating subject. I enjoy playing music, involving myself in local community music and I am currently (slowly) teaching myself Welsh.
