I grew up in rural Herefordshire on the border with Wales where I spent most of my time outdoors and in the hills as well as attending the Hereford Waldorf School. Following this, I went to study in Bristol for Undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Theology and Religious Studies.

I spent my early twenties teaching and tutoring in schools in Bristol, managing summer schools and later teaching English in Southern Poland, before returning to train as a secondary teacher. This led to around ten years in various teaching and leadership roles in mainstream secondary schools until moving to Pembrokeshire when my eldest child was a baby.
