Kindergarten Assistant

My background is in the Arts. I’ve always been quite creative and I just love experimenting with different materials. As well as a Kindergarten Assistant, I’m also a freelance Stained Glass Artist and run workshops locally to help people learn the traditional craft. And as if that is not enough, I am a keen writer and am currently working on a novel which I hope to get out into the big wide world at some point soon!
I was born in Bath and spent a large part of my childhood and young adult life in the West Country. When I was eleven we moved to Munich, West Germany and lived there for almost four years. It was such a valuable experience for me at that age. I attended an International School which opened my eyes to other cultures with friends from around the globe, many of which I am still in contact with today.
My first daughter went through primary and secondary school in Wiltshire. I always wished there was a different kind of education I could have given her, but at the time I wasn’t familiar with Steiner Education.
Many years later we moved to Pembrokeshire and had daughter number two. By chance we ended up coming along to the Nant-Y-Cwm Summer Fair and instantly fell in love with the school. We attended the Family Group, then Kindergarten and she is now well on her journey through the Main School.
I took on the housekeeping role in Kindergarten in 2016, and since then have turned my hand to many roles within the school – even performing in the annual Shepard’s Play!
