The role of Admin is to provide consistent cover in the office and on the other end of the phone for general enquiries and communications. Admin also ensures that paperwork, policies, and record-keeping is up-to-date.

ALN (1)
The Additional Learning Needs team includes experienced ALN members who support the class and subject teachers as required, as well as liaising with Pembrokeshire County Council and the medical profession when appropriate.

Collegiate (5)
Collegiate is responsible for maintaining the principles of Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy throughout the school and for matters that are directly connected to the curriculum and the teaching of the children.

Early Childhood (7)
The ECT follow the Steiner Waldorf curriculum to provide a nurturing environment supporting the healthy development of young children. They run Parent and Child groups for families from birth to 3 years, and Kindergarten groups for children aged 3 to 6 years.

Festival (4)
The Festival Team's role is to plan and hold the school’s yearly festivals. The team meets regularly in the run up to every festival to ensure the smooth running of each event.

This team is responsible for creating a publicity film and snippets to be used on social media. The team aims to promote all aspects of life at the school.

Finance (3)
The Finance Team work on areas put forward by teams. They meet throughout the year to discuss proposals and any financial impacts and are also consulted for opinions and consent when required.

Fundraising (6)
The Fundraising Team is responsible for processing proposals, managing accounts including donations and communicating with the school community. We are closely involved with the Summer and Advent fairs, promoting ongoing fundraising/donations and supporting specific class fundraising activities.

Gardening (2)
This team is responsible for supporting the teachers in using the school gardens and grounds, and working with the school to develop the outdoor areas.

Health & Safety (5)
Their role is to support the H&S Coordinator in ensuring that duty holders (Trustees, Collegiate, and SMT) manage and control health, safety and welfare risks effectively, thus preventing harm to children and adults. They develop and promote H&S policies and procedures, and respond to enquiries and requests for advice on H&S issues, including training.

The HR Team aims to maximize the productivity of Nant-y-Cwm by optimizing the effectiveness of its employees and managing each stage of staff members' employment.

IT (2)
The IT Team supports staff and volunteers using the Nant-y-Cwm Google Workspace. They also maintain and set up user accounts, shared drives, group emails and update the school website.

Marketing focuses on publicising the school to the wider community via social media, the website, brochures, posters and other mediums.

Parent & Child (3)
They plan, organise, run and review parent and child groups for Nant-y-Cwm School in accordance with Steiner Waldorf pedagogy educational principles. They are part of the EC Team with a focus on birth to three and supporting families.

Parent Support (1)
The Parent Support Team was initiated during consultation with parents about Nant y Cwm’s structure. In May 2019 a draft team plan came into being and the team itself is still developing. One function of PST is to inform parents about how they can get involved in the school community, join school teams and contribute at events and festivals.

Premises (2)
The role of the Premises Team is to look after the fabric of the building; to survey and assess necessary work proactively and in a timely manner. Jobs are done by the team, with the aid of parent work parties or by professional contractors. The team also ensures that all utilities are running smoothly and that all school safety checks and surveys are carried out on their appropriate calendar date.

Safeguarding (2)
The safeguarding team are available to support and provide information and advice to the children, parents, carers, visitors and staff and to deal with any concerns. They work closely with families and external agencies in order to provide the best outcomes for the children and their families.

SGT act as Governors of the School, Trustees of the charity and Directors of the company. They make decisions about what is in the best long-term interests of the school. They hold Collegiate to account for the management of the School.

SMT facilitates all the teams, helping them to function efficiently. SMT has responsibility for the day to day school management responsibilities and decision making for the medium-term interests of the school.

Steiner teachers are dedicated to creating a genuine love of learning within each child. They ensure that the curriculum delivery and lesson planning is thought provoking and captures pupils' imagination whilst meeting age appropriate expectations.

Woodland (6)
The Woodland Team's aims are to maintain Allt Llwyn Dyffrion Woods in supporting Nant-y-Cwm School to deliver it's curriculum in any way possible, whilst guaranteeing access for the general public. Ensuring safe access to the woods and the car park, clearing and developing the paths, and establishing an information board to clarify acceptable usage, hiring out the space, contact for booking, emergencies etc.
