There has been an awful lot of preparation and advanced planning going on to meet the unique set of challenges online education provision brings with it. All our teachers in Kindergarten and Main School have been busy bees, not only putting up the work but learning the new technology to do so.
Here is an example of one of our teachers, hard at ‘work’. 🙂
There is a veritable feast of audio, video, images, image carousels, documents, interactive quizzes on each class, music and the kindergarten websites. Not forgetting of course the very valuable online video meet ups with parents and children.

A big challenge for the whole school has been the rethinking, adjusting and adapting to teaching online again, all in a very short time.
Everyone at Nant-y-Cwm is missing the school day interactions and rhythms but hope that the online education provision maintains a connection with the children and their families. We are all having to step out of our comfort zones to do everything we can to maintain some semblance of normalcy. We are all in this together. It will be OK. Eventually, school will resume, and the teaching staff can go back to teaching in-person. But right now, teachers are teaching their classes the best they can and are refusing to let anything out of their control distract them from the importance of engaging and inspiring the children.
