John’s class has published the first ever NYC Times. It’s well worth a read, it has everything (but nothing COVID-19 related – hurrah). Included within this first edition you will find conservation and environmental articles, the comic adventures of ‘Totface’, jokes, reviews, fashion, examples of class work and lots more!
Two of our pupils are reducing their use of fossil fuel by cycling to school. They then noticed the amount of rubish and were galvalnised into doing a litter pick along their route. This will begin again as soon as COVID restrictions allow. Sadly they have noticed so much of it in the beautiful Pembrokeshire coutryside. But rather than sitting back, they are doing somthing about it.
We will stop doing our weekly ‘pick’ when there’s nothing to collect. With the rubbish we collect we’re going to find out how much is recyclable and make a graph showing how long the rubbish will take to biodegrade. We are thinking of creating an end project maybe a sculpture out of the collected rubbish. If you have any creative project ideas for the rubbish please email info@nant-y-cwm.co.uk
Please consider sponsoring them by going to their gofundme page. The money will go towards their final class 8 trip and to an environmental charity. Thank you.
You can also buy a facemask to help towards Class 8’s trip.
