We were lino printing one day this week at school… We observed a plant outside, drew a design based on notes and observations, cut out the design in lino and then printed using various colours.
Here are some of the pictures showing the process the children took; drawing, carving, rolling ink and pressing onto paper.
A big thank you to the amazing Ginny for kindly donating her time and art resources with us, and leading us carefully through each aspect of the work at hand… was such a great day!!
We can repeat the lino printing process as many times as we want to, to create the shapes and patterns. It’s like a giant stamp that we’ve made ourselves! We are hoping to sell some cards created from the prints at the Summer Fair, to raise funds for the Class 6&7 trip next year. Won’t they be groovy baby!
