Maya and I are conscious that many parents will look on next week’s half term as an opportunity for a break from homeschooling, whereas for other parents, it will mean no change in their homeschool rhythm. As such we consider the best approach is for us to maintain our on duty responsibilities, which then allows the flexibility parents and pupils need.
The only change will be that any standard Zoom meetings for next week will be cancelled, with the meetings being resumed the following week. However, if parents request Zoom meetings (either as a group or individually) Maya and I will be entirely available for those. Certain classes have already planned to hold Zooms for next week and these will go ahead as planned. In practice this means the following for the different classes:
Kindergarten – Zoom at 10am on Monday 25th May – CANCELLED*
Class 8 – Zoom at 2pm on Monday 25th May – TO GO AHEAD with Africa topic
Class 6/7 – Zoom at 2pm on Tuesday 26th May – CANCELLED*
Class 1 – Zoom at 3pm on Tuesday 26th May – CANCELLED*
Class 2/3 – Zoom at ? on Wednesday 27th May – CANCELLED*
Class 2/3 – Zoom at 11am on Friday 29th May – TO GO AHEAD with mini lesson
Class 4/5 – Zoom at 2pm on Friday 29th May – TO GO AHEAD with mini lesson
*If there is demand for these to be resumed, I will ensure all parents of the class are made aware.
Please note that emailed requests for work and support next week will be read and responded to as normal.
