Date: Tuesday, August 31, 2021 @ 9.30am - 1.30pm
Location: Nant-y-Cwm School
Firstly, a huge thank you to all who have come along and gave their time to the new 3rd Kindy project. With the start of term drawing nearer, we really pleased to announce our final work day on Tuesday 31st August. Since we started only a few weeks ago, lots of progress has been made! With a great turnout. Lots of headway is being made inside the classroom with toilets and basins going in, electric water heater, and other kitchen appliances.
We really hope you can join us for this final “surge” towards the end. There’s still lots of tasks to do, but with Nant-Y-Cwm people power, we can do it!
Here’s a list of the jobs to complete. Feel free to take your pick on the day!
- Painting the top “wash” coat inside the classroom
- Chicken wire fence
- Sowing grass seed
- Lay gravel path
- Fit gates
- Finish fencing and cutting a wavy top edge
- Move desks up from hall to Tom’s classroom. Putting up a blackboard in Tom’s classroom.
Please bring suitable clothing for working outside and inside. eg. gloves and boots, old clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on.
We will start at 9.30am and finish around 1.30pm. Please bring food, drink and snacks to keep you going.
Everyone is welcome, even if you can only stay for a short time.
Children are also welcome to come and play outside in the playground and field, under supervision, but there will be no access to the main building or other classrooms.
Looking forward to seeing you. Once again, this wouldn’t be possible without your help and we really appreciate your support where you can offer it! Patrick.
